WHAT IS INCLUDED IN YOUR LOCKRACK SET

2 x Aluminium base plates
4 x Lockrack arms
1 x bag of 4 locking keys – please keep a note of the key reference should you need replacements. This is found on the inside of the key.
1 x bag of 4 nuts | 4 x  T bolts  | 4 x  plastic bushes

PLEASE FOLLOW THE STEP BY STEP INSTALLATION GUIDE

  1. T-Bolt & plastic spacer.
  2. Lockrack base.
  3. Locking mechanism.
  4. Nut attaching base to T-Bolt
  5. Rubber base protector
  6. Lockrack Arm.

 

  1. Your roof rack bars should be adjusted to be inline with the narrowest part of your board both back and front allowing for the roof length of your vehicle.
  2. Remove the rubber insert on the Lockrack base (fig.2) (fig.5) exposing the bolt hole
  3. Line up the Base on your Aero bar and mark where the bolt holes are on your Aero bar rubber insert
  4. Now remove the Aero bar rubber insert, drill a hole through your marking and insert the T bolt just so the top of the bolt is protruding.
  5. Replace the Aero bar insert with now attached T bolt back into the Aero bar channel
  6. Insert the T bolts into the base plate and secure with the supplied fastening nuts until secure. A 10 mm socket should used to assist with this.
  7. You will know when it is seated properly when it clicks in and is flush with the base.
  8. Now replace the Lockrack rubber insert so that the front and rear edge is tucked UNDER / INTO the base
  9. You can now install your Lockrack arms by simply pushing into the base towards your craft until they click into position and are secure.
  10. To release the arms insert the key with the lock emblem facing down, then half turn the key clock wise to release.

USING THE LOCK SYSTEM KEY – IMPORTANT

  1. The keys are made from a tough plastic but if inserted incorrectly will wear the mold pretty quickly thus making your key non use-able.
  2. Look at your key and you will see 3 rounded edges one that has a lock icon.
  3. Position your key so they Lock icon is to the bottom, now insert key and turn a quarter turn clockwise to release the arm
  4. On the inside of the key is a unique serial number. Make a note of this so that we can replace your keys if necessary

MISUSE OF PRODUCT

  1. The Lockrack product range is only to be used for the transport of watercraft to a maximum weight of 45 kg.
  2. It is very important to refer to the vehicle manufacturers operating manual for the maximum permissible load allowable on vehicle roof.
  3. No warranty is given for defects resulting from conditions beyond Lockrack`s control including, but not limited to, misuse, overloading, or from failure to assemble, mount or use the load carrier or accessory(s) in accordance with our fitting guidelines.
  4. Lockrack is not responsible for damage to a purchaser’s vehicle, cargo and /or to any other person or property.
  5. Periodic maintenance of the lock rack including regular cleaning is strictly adhered to (see ‘Maintenance’ below

MAINTENANCE

  1. Maintaining your Lockrack is straightforward and ensures trouble-free use for years to come :
  2. Keep the arms clean.
  3. Apply surf wax sparingly to the aluminum arm which inserts into the base to maintain easy operation noting to remove any sand particles that may be on the arm inserts to avoid abrasion
